Our fresh Casarecce is made with 100% Durum wheat semolina flourhas the perfect amount of tooth and catches sauce beautifully in its gentle twists. Originating is Sicily, Casarecce is most often served with typically southern ingredients like eggplant, tomatoes, basil and often served with seafood. A great alternative to fusilli or penne pasta.

SAUCE SUGGESTION: ZARA’S Marinara, Spicy Italian Sausage sauce or fresh Basil Pesto.

SUGGESTED SERVING SIZE: 200g per person for a main course serving.

Description

COOKING TIME: 2 – 3 minutes in salted boiling water.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS: Bring a pot of generously salted water to the boil. Use a big pot, give the pasta room to move. Once boiling, add pasta and reduce to medium high heat. Remove with a slotted spoon or use a colander. Remember to reserve some of the pasta water. Add the pasta to a pan with your chosen sauce and carefully combine.

STORAGE: Pasta can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days. It can also be frozen for up to 6 weeks. If you freeze the pasta, cook it directly from frozen – DO NOT DEFROST.
