D’AMICO “Sicilian Style” Caperberries


The mature fruit produced from the caper bush, caper berries are usually pickled and have a soft flesh and often less intense flavour than their smaller counterparts.

SUGGESTED USE: On their own caper berries are often eaten in much the same way an olive would be eaten, they make a beautiful addition the most antipasti platters and can be used whole in cocktails. When used for cooking we suggest rinsing and draining the berries to remove any excess brine. Capers are well suited to seafood dishes and can be used in condiments or sauces like Putanesca.
