This is a must-have in your pantry! Tomato paste in a tube may cost more than the commonly found small tins of tomato paste, but it won’t go to waste. The tube allows you to use what you need when you need it without wasting a tin on one tablespoon. Once opened, store it in the fridge and it will be there when you need to add an intense burst of tomato flavour to your soups, stocks and sauces. Mutti Double Concentrated Tomato Paste (Doppio Concentrato) was the first product introduced by the Fratelli Mutti company in 1899. In 1951, Mutti was the first to pack tomato paste into a tube, a significant innovation at the time. Mutti tomato paste uses only the highest quality, 100% Italian tomatoes – not by-products from other tomato processing. In fact, 5.5 lbs. of fresh tomatoes are used to make every 1 lb. of Mutti Double Concentrated Tomato Paste.
